This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.
We use Your Personal Data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
The words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Personal Data
While using Our Service, We ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You, including:
Health Data
Because HealthNet is a healthcare appointment and records application, We also collect and store health information necessary to provide the Service, including:
This health information is only ever visible to You and the doctors and hospital staff directly involved in Your care.
Family Member (Dependent) Data
If You add a family member, such as a child or parent, to Your account to manage their appointments and records, We collect the same categories of personal and health data listed above for that dependent. This information is entered and managed by You, the account holder — a dependent added this way does not create or access their own separate account.
Photos and Documents
With Your permission, the Service lets You take or upload a photo for Your profile picture, and photograph (using Your Device's camera, only when You choose to take a photo) or upload one or many medical documents at once — lab reports, prescriptions, bills, scans/imaging, discharge summaries, and vaccination certificates — to attach to Your records. When You upload, You choose whether the document belongs to You or to a family member on Your account. The uploaded file is stored securely on Our cloud storage and stays in Your records until You delete it or Your account. Only files that could not be read (failed uploads) can be removed from within the app; to remove any other document, contact Us as described under "Delete Your Account and Personal Data".
Sorting and Reviewing Uploaded Documents
To help sort the documents You upload (for example into Prescription, Lab Report, Medical Bill, Imaging Report or Discharge Summary) and to read the printed date on them, the text in each document is read on Our own servers using text recognition (OCR), and then matched against a fixed set of keyword rules. We do not send Your documents or their text to any third-party artificial intelligence (AI) service. The result is only a suggestion: after a document is read, You review the suggested type and confirm it or change it before it is added to Your records. A document that has not yet been confirmed by You is kept private to You and is not shown to doctors through Share Records. This sorting is an aid only and is not medical advice or a diagnosis. Your documents are not used to advertise to You and are not sold.
Notifications
If You allow notifications, the app shows a notification on Your Device when documents You uploaded have finished being read and are ready for You to review, and may register a notification token for Your Device with Our server for this purpose. Allowing notifications is optional, and You can turn them off at any time in Your Device settings. The notification token is used only to notify You about Your own account activity and is not used for advertising.
Sharing Your Records With a Doctor (Share Records)
You can let a doctor view Your records for a short time. You create a one-time code in the app; the doctor enters it on Our website, and You approve the request by scanning the doctor's screen or confirming in the app. Access lasts for 2 hours and You can end it at any time. You decide what a doctor can see: in "Shared records privacy" You can hide any individual document or whole category from a shared view. We keep a record of share requests and approvals for Your security.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect Your Device's precise location, and We do not access Your phone's contacts/address book. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any other third-party analytics or advertising SDK. We do not use third-party artificial intelligence services to process Your documents.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
We may share Your Personal Data in the following situations:
We do not sell Your Personal Data, and We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
The Company will retain Your Personal Data, including medical records, only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data for as long as Your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with applicable healthcare record-keeping and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Our legal agreements and policies.
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. This means that this information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of Your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction.
The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You. You may update or correct most of Your information at any time by signing in to Your Account and visiting the Personal Details section within the app.
How to request deletion of Your account and data
You do not need to open the app to make this request. Send an email to support@atomwalk.com with the subject "Delete my HealthNet account" from the email address registered on Your account, and include the phone number registered on Your account so that We can verify it is You. We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
What may be kept
Records of visits and treatment held by a hospital or doctor for care You received from them may be retained by that hospital as required by applicable healthcare record-keeping and legal obligations. We may also keep limited information where We have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so, and only for as long as that obligation lasts. Once deleted, Your data cannot be recovered.
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
Under certain circumstances, the Company may disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
The Company may disclose Your Personal Data in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:
The security of Your Personal Data, especially Your health information, is important to Us. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls to protect Your data. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, and We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
The Service itself is not directed to children, and We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to independently create their own account. A parent or legal guardian who holds a verified HealthNet Account may add a child as a family member (dependent) on their own Account, in order to book appointments and manage that child's health records. In this case, the child never creates, accesses, or logs into their own account; all data is entered and controlled by the verified adult Account holder.
If You believe a child has been given independent access to the Service in a way that violates this Policy, please contact Us.
Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us, such as hospital websites. If You click on a third-party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
